  MUSIC
Music is an integral part of our curriculum at DCA. Worshiping God through music and learning how to use this as a ministry for God is what drives our program.
DCA has a music program which begins in Junior Kindergarten and continues up to Grade 8. In the primary grades the students are introduced to music appreciation and some theory through singing and rhythm activities.
In Grade 4 the students are introduced to instrumental music through the recorder. Our band program begins in Grade 5 and continues through to Grade 8. Our concert band received a Gold Award at Ontario Musicfest and qualified for the National Musicfest in 2008.
Worship also plays a huge role at DCA. We have a team of senior students (Grade 7-8) who meet weekly to worship together and prepare for leading worship at our weekly chapels.
  SPORTS

Physical Education is another integral part of our program at DCA. All students participate in structured gym classes. Kindergarten receives 3 periods of gym weekly and all other grades receive 4 periods. Students are taught the need to live a healthy life and are taught skills which allow them to have a positive experience in games and sport.
DCA has an intramural program through which many students are introduced to a variety of sports. We also participate in the ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) tournaments and compete in the local Christian/Catholic league. Our students in Grades 3 to 8 compete in a variety of sports which include soccer, cross-country, volleyball, basketball, swimming, badminton, track and field and baseball.

  FRENCH
We have an excellent French program at DCA which emphasizes verbal as well as written knowledge. French starts in Junior Kindergarten and continues through to Grade 8.
  PUBLIC SPEAKING
Learning to communicate effectively is an important part of preparing our students. They are taught the skills necessary to speak before an audience and they have the opportunity to compete at a school level as well as at the local ACSI and Rotary competitions. DCA has been very successful at the ACSI Public Speaking Competition over the past several years.
  FINE ARTS
Our students are encouraged to use all their gifts and abilities to honour the Lord. They are taught many mediums of visual arts and participate in our Fine Arts Festival.
  TECHNOLOGY
DCA is always striving to keep up with the latest developments in technology. Each classroom is equipped with computers and each class uses the computer lab. The emphasis in the primary grades is keyboarding. In the junior and intermediate grades it is the use and application of current software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
